This weekend we were invited to a political day party at the West Philadelphia Container Village in the heart of the 4th district. At this event we hosted a very special political roundup with some very dynamic figures. They include Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr., State Rep. Morgan Cephas, State Rep. Ronnie Green, Senator Vincent Hughes, Senator Sharif Street and City Commissioner Omar Sabir. In a series of round robin style interviews we discuss all the hot political and community topics in advance of the upcoming Primary Elections on Tuesday, April 23rd and General Elections in November of this year. This is unlike anything we've ever done and came out extremely dope so we hope you enjoy it.

Over the past week we've seen east coast earthquakes, people getting clapped over guacamole, NFL legends pulling blowers out (NO DIDDY), 3 celebrity deaths and a solar eclipse among other things. This week's show kicks off with a rundown of one of the craziest week's in the history of earth and a wellness check on how we're all holding up. All that is cool and all but the thing WE ALL have been talking about on social media, on our collective group chats and in person is the present Rap Civil War going on between Drake and the cabal led by Metro Boomin, Future, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar. Today we assess all the players SWOTs (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) and examine why all these different fanbases are acting like complete and utter weirdos. The number 1 trending topic on earth is the Puff Daddy Saga. Starting last November with Cassie's lawsuit this situation has continued to grow legs and run around the world. The past few months have been filled with civil lawsuits from various Jane Doe's, allegations of sex trafficking, drug use and debauchery. One lawsuit in particular has grabbed the attention of social media and people have refused to let go. That is the lawsuit by producer Rodney Jones pka Lil Rod. This one in particular was salacious, headline grabbing and at points downright absurd. It is from this particular case from which people believe the most recent criminal allegations have formed and the subsequent triple home raids that took place on March 25th, 2024. Today we gather to assess this situation, ponotofcate on how faced Mr. Combs is and say EVERYTHING that every other podcast on earth is afraid to say. If this is our last episode... SO BE IT. She is a mother, attorney, entrepreneur, CEO and visionary who has dedicated her life to civics, community engagement and higher education. In 2017 she founded HBCU Week that has exploded in recent years by providing high school seniors with an authentic HBCU experience and an outlet to relieve their college debt burden. She joins us today to discuss the foundation and mission of the organization, their corporate partners, how she landed Stephen A. Smith as a brand ambassador and how the organization has successfully raised over $70 Million in scholarship awards to students that are HBCU bound. Ashley and her team are doing amazing work and we can't think of a better way to kick off Women's History Month than with this brilliant black woman who is making history daily.
