Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
This past weekend was filled with ooh's and ahh's on the NBA court, the courtrooms of Atlanta and the halls of Sneakercon in our beloved city. Today we cover all the extremely ghetto, subpar, lackluster and flat out hilarious mess from February 16th to February 18th. We start the show with Chad reviewing 2 of the best movies of the past 12 months, One Love and American Fiction. The guys tackle 45's unexpected appearance at Sneakercon and evaluate his skills as a marketer. They also tackle all his recent judgments and if Trump may end up running the country from an FDC. The guys also get into the hilariously tragic story of YSL Nicky, pka, Nicole Fegan, how her alleged antics landed her a gang charge and what all this crap means for Young Thug. The heart of the show covers Freaky Fani and Nasty Nate looking like doofs in a GA courtroom and the good, bag, ugly and unfortunate of NBA All Star Weekend 2024 in Indy. All this and much more on the 301st installment of The Realest Podcast Ever.

The Greatest Grammy Show Ever || #TRPE Ep. 299
Thursday Feb 08, 2024
Thursday Feb 08, 2024
Humbly stated this show is a MASTERPIECE!! Today the boyz expertly diagnose and dissect not only the 2024 Grammys but the history of it. They breakdown the criteria, politics and ego surrounding the show. They establish what's wrong and provide solutions to fix the storied institution as they steward towards the future. Credit is given to Dr. Dre for being arguably the greatest figure to ever come from hip-hop and Jay Z for using the Grammy stage to call them and the artists to the carpet.
All the above plus the start of Drake and J. Cole's tour and Lil Durk, Killer Mike, Sza and Victoria Monet having their best weeks ever. There's also a dope edition of Y'all Weird and the guys attempt to figure out how the hell we got back in The Benzinoverse.

Special? || #TRPE Ep. 298
Monday Feb 05, 2024
Monday Feb 05, 2024
Another Media Monday and another edition of The Realest in the business. Today's show covers a lot of ground from the courtroom to the boardroom to the barbershop. For episode 297, the guys cover the lack of elevation in Philadelphia's nightlife scene and how the $200M athletes end up in the same spots as the scammas and kidnappers. They also tackle the shift in global nightlife caused by the pandemic and why everyone is chasing David Grutman (Groot Hospitality) and the Rosanegra Group.
The heart of the show covers two major developments in legal cases both involving Donald J. Trump. Those being the voter election fraud case in Georgia led by maligned DA Fani Willis and the $83M L he took to E. Jean Carroll in a defamation case in NY. In GA, Fani had some major explaining to do after it came to light of her possibly improper relationship with her Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade that was uncovered during his divorce proceedings. Chad leaves no stone unturned in digging into the facts if the matter and potentially irreparable damage that has been done to Fani's reputation.
The show wraps with a deep dive on the changing for-profit podcast landscape, Spotify clearing the deck for Joe Rogan's $250M re-up and The Swifties and Travis Kelce's feeble attempt to gentrify the bald fade smh. All this and more on episode 297 of The Realest Podcast Ever.

This past week has been an interesting one for the TRPE Boyz and the world at large. Today we return to discuss all the ups, downs and arounds including Big Dan’s epic trip to China, Matt’s first movie and Nicki Minaj ruining her magnificent comeback beefing with Megan Thee Stallion. At the heart of the show we discuss if PODCAST has become a toxic medium and a dirty word due to all the messy, nonsensical and mislabeling that's taken place the last 4 years. The show wraps with coverage around the disturbing accusations surrounding WWE & TKO Chairman Vince McMahon in the midst of a fallout with his former mistress… THIS IS A SICK CRACKA (ALLEGEDLY). All this and more on episode 297 of The Realest Podcast Ever.

Rap vet and esteemed actor Mos Def found himself in the eye of the storm of the Nigganet last week for his appearance on some random podcast that ended in him talking about Drake... DRAAAAAAKE? Not Talib Kweli, not Blackstar reunion, not Jay Electronica or anyone of his cadre, but DRAKE. Why is that might you ask? Because nothing gets the people going quite like some Aubrey Slander. AND SLANDER HE DID. The Cliff Notes include shopping, Target, Pop Music and when it all falls down and the columns start to buckle. Lock in while we examine what Mighty Mos said and see if we found him guilty of hateration or did he have a valid point. Feel free to state your opinions in the comments.
We also tackle two of the greatest and most successful football minds of all time stepping away from the New England Patriots and Alabama (Roll Tide) respectively and debate their place on the list of all time greats in college and the pros.

Dissection Of An Industry Plant || #TRPE Ep. 295
Friday Jan 19, 2024
Friday Jan 19, 2024
Katt Williams on Club Shay Shay is the gift that keeps on giving. It's led to tons of content, reviews and hot takes. Some were spot on while others are flat out dishonest and bordering on libelous. The latest one is Jason Whitlock proclaiming that ESPN's Stephen A. Smith (of all people) is an industry plant. This led to a HUGE cultural conversation with most people calling bullshit on Whitlock and caused SAS to ETHER the fat man on his Stephen A. Smith Show on YouTube. Today we examine all the ins and outs of what an industry plant ACTUALLY IS and how long will we have to deal with this in the entertainment news arena. We also cover Club Shay Shay breaking YT viewership and engagement records, virality in multimedia, Kevin Hart & Dave Chappell, Bum Fights vs Dr. Phil, sports betting taking over the world and Hollywood telling Jonathan Majors he's too wild to play Dennis Rodman of all people... WHAT?! Enjoy another classic episode of The Realest Podcast Ever.
